According to the security cabinet report, federal forces began security patrols in the area.

This came after identifying the locality as a key point for the mobility of a person involved in illicit activities.

During these patrols, federal agents observed a man whose characteristics matched the suspect being investigated.

The reports also state that they saw him carrying an object resembling a firearm.

Upon interception, the individual was subjected to a security search, where he was found in possession of a handgun.

He also carried a considerable sum of cash, approximately 800,000 pesos, and two bags containing fentanyl pills.

This drug, highly addictive and lethal, has caused growing concern regarding security and public health in Mexico and the United States.

The federal government detailed in its statement that Hernán «N» has an outstanding arrest warrant for organized crime.

After his arrest, the individual was informed of his constitutional rights and handed over to the corresponding Public Ministry agent.

The operation involved various security forces.

Including the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Navy, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).

This coordinated effort aims to combat criminal structures in the region and dismantle drug trafficking networks operating in Sinaloa.

The arrest of «El Mero Mero» is part of a series of actions undertaken by the federal government to neutralize members of the Guzmán family.

It also targets other criminal organizations that control drug trafficking in the region.
