- CBP One Eliminated for Flights
- Now Only for Self-Deportation
- Trump Tightens Immigration Control
The U.S. government has officially ended the use of the CBP One app for undocumented migrants boarding domestic flights without valid identification.
The new measure, effective immediately, restricts the app’s use exclusively for self-deportation cases.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced the decision, marking another step in tightening immigration policies under the Trump administration.
«We are reversing the horrific Biden-era policy that allowed illegal aliens to fly without ID,» a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
Trump Strengthens Travel Restrictions for Undocumented Migrants

«Under President Trump, the TSA and DHS will not tolerate this. Anyone illegally in the country will not be allowed to fly—except to self-deport,» the statement added.
CBP One was originally introduced and expanded during the Biden administration as a method to verify the identity of undocumented migrants.
Through the app, users uploaded personal information, photos, and underwent biometric verification.
Their data was cross-checked against Homeland Security records to authorize travel.
If travelers lacked valid identification, they could undergo manual inspections at airport security checkpoints.
Although allowing flights without ID was not exclusive to Biden’s policies, CBP One became a crucial tool in this process.
With the new policy, the app will no longer be used at TSA security checkpoints or at the National Transportation Vetting Center.
Additionally, migrants with humanitarian parole or pending immigration cases will no longer be allowed to fly without valid identification.
The only exception will be for those undergoing self-deportation procedures.
The parole program, implemented under Biden, allowed migrants to enter the U.S. legally for up to two years while resolving their immigration status.
This program granted legal entry to approximately 800,000 people in 21 months.
And provided the opportunity to apply for a work authorization document.
However, the Trump administration argues that parole facilitated the movement of undocumented migrants within the country.
The elimination of CBP One for flights is part of the broader crackdown on immigration policies under Trump’s presidency.

From his first day in office, Trump ordered an end to the use of the CBP One app for migrant releases within the U.S..
He also halted parole applications and authorized ICE to cancel the status of those previously admitted under this program.
Last week, his administration revoked the extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians.
This move followed the cancellation of a similar TPS extension for Venezuelans.
Additionally, a new memorandum was signed, allowing up to 600 State Department officials to act as immigration officers.
With these changes, the administration is reinforcing border controls and accelerating deportation processes.
