Upon arriving at Andrews Air Force Base from his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump commented:
“I would love for that to happen (the deal), because I’d love to see no bombs fall and a lot of people not die. I really would like that to happen, and I think there’s a strong possibility that it will.”
Although Trump refrained from providing details on next steps, he confirmed that the next round of talks with Iran would take place “very soon.”
His conciliatory tone contrasts with the harder stance taken during his first term.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi also expressed optimism:
“There is a possibility for progress,” he said after the fifth round.
Araqchi reminded the public that US-Iran negotiations, which began on April 12, are too complex to be resolved in just a few meetings.
However, he emphasized Iran’s willingness to continue moving forward.
Key Context
Since beginning his second term in January, Trump has taken a renewed diplomatic approach to nuclear issues, aiming to ease tensions with Iran and avoid a military escalation.
Negotiations, long stalled, appear to have gained momentum following multilateral meetings in Europe.
Although no specific date has been set for the next meeting, both sides agree that the process is moving forward. For Trump, securing this deal would mark a key achievement in his foreign policy amid ongoing global tensions.
