Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce matched his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s generous donation to the families of shooting victims.
Shooting broke out at the Super Bowl rally celebrating the Chief’s win. DJ Lisa López Galván was killed and several others were injured.
Both stars contributed $100,000 each, demonstrating their support for the community and their fans.

On February 16, football player Travis Kelce matched the $100,000 donation that his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift, made to Lisa López Galván’s family, according to EFE.
Travis Kelce donated to two children who were injured in the shooting that broke out Wednesday the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration parade.
Kelce made the GoFundMe donation through his Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation.
In addition, the Kansas City Chiefs and the United Way are asking for donations to support the shooting victims.

Travis Kelce donated $100,000 to two young sisters who were injured in the shooting.
Likewise, Taylor Swift made a donation to the family of Elizabeth López-Galván, a Mexican-born radio host who was killed.
After the ‘Black Space’ performer made the generous donation, her agent confirmed the news to Variety.
In addition several NFL players, such as Patrick Mahomes, also made donations to the victims.
The Kansas City Chiefs are raising money for the victims

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they made a donation of $200,000 to help the shooting victims.
In the statement, they offered their condolences to Elizabeth López-Galván’s family.
«The Chiefs, Hunt Family Foundation, and NFL are supporting this cause with a $200,000 donation,» they said in a statement.
They added that it was to «ensure that we are helping to support the victims and first responders in the immediate aftermath of Wednesday’s tragedy.»
What happened in Kansas City?

The shooting also left 22 people injured, including López-Galván’s two children, according to EFE.
Two minors have been charged in connection with the shooting and are being held in a juvenile detention center.
They are facing charges related to the possession and use of firearms and resisting arrest, authorities reported on Friday.
The shooting occurred on February 14 as the Kansas City Chiefs were celebrating their recent Super Bowl victory.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves indicated that the incident resulted from «a dispute among several individuals,» according to EFE.
She added that «preliminary findings from the investigation have shown no links to terrorism or violent extremists.»
