A new Pentagon report has revealed an extensive list of encounters with unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), documenting hundreds of mysterious and still-unexplained incidents.

The report details 757 cases of UAP encounters between May 1, 2023, and June 1, 2024, with testimonies from commercial pilots, military personnel, and ground observers.

Although the report provides no evidence suggesting extraterrestrial origins for these phenomena, some incidents defy conventional explanations. These include a near-collision between a commercial airplane and a cylindrical object near the coast of New York.

The release of this report comes at a time of growing public interest in UAPs, spurring calls for greater government transparency in the United States.

Just one day before the report’s release, lawmakers in the House of Representatives held a special hearing on UAPs, urging the government to provide more information on these unexplained objects.

Of the cases recorded, some predate the analyzed period, as 272 incidents were previously documented but not reported until now.

Among the incidents described, most occurred in conventional airspace, though 49 took place at altitudes exceeding 62 miles above Earth, which is officially considered outer space.

Despite the large number of incidents, the Pentagon has reported no injuries or accidents related to these encounters, according to the Daily Mail.

One of the most striking events remains under investigation. A commercial airplane reported nearly colliding with a «cylindrical object» while flying over the Atlantic near New York.

Additionally, three military crews claimed to have been followed or «monitored» by unknown aircraft. However, investigators found no evidence linking these activities to foreign powers.

Another key detail from the report indicates that 81 of the cases occurred in U.S. military operation zones, raising concerns about potential national security risks.

Witnesses described seeing unidentified lights in the sky and objects with various morphologies, including rounded, spherical, and luminous orb-like shapes.

Among the more unusual descriptions was an observer’s account of a UAP resembling a «jellyfish» with flashing lights—a type of phenomenon also mentioned in other historical reports.

«Unidentified lights and round, spherical, or orb-like objects accounted for the majority of cases where reports provided distinctive visual features,» the Pentagon report on UFO stated.

«Objects in the ‘other’ category include unique descriptions such as a ‘green fireball,’ a ‘jellyfish with multicolored flashing lights,’ and a ‘silver rocket about six feet long.’

While some cases feature perplexing characteristics, the Pentagon noted that the morphologies reported in this document align with historical trends for UAPs.
