Pennsylvania nurse Heather Pressdee pleaded guilty to multiple murders in a Butler County court.

It was revealed that she intentionally administered insulin overdoses to nearly two dozen patients.

The guilty plea occurred on Thursday morning, after which about 40 family members of the victims shared the devastating impact of Pressdee’s crimes on their lives.

Pennsylvania nurse Heather Pressdee pleads guilty to 3 murders

WTAE reported that the judge handed down a life sentence without parole for Pressdee.

Technically it was three consecutive life sentences amounting to 380 to 760 years.

Pressdee admitted to first-degree murder of three patients and attempted murder of 19 others by injecting them with insulin overdoses.

Family members of the victims lashed out at her, expressing their devastation at the injuries and loss of their loved ones.

The families of the victims talked about the devastating impact

Elizabeth Simons Ozella, daughter of one of the victims, Irene Simons, expressed her outrage by saying, «I’ll never forgive her for what she did. We’re angry and hurt that she disguised herself as a caring nurse.»

Melinda Brown, sister of another victim, Nicholas Cymbol, added, «She is pure evil. There is no justice for this. We will get justice when she meets her maker.»

Prosecutors revealed that nurse Heather Pressdee had 22 victims across four counties over three years in five different facilities. The ages of the victims ranged from 43 to 104 years.

Kelly Michele Walsh, Deputy Executive Attorney General of Pennsylvania, commented on the sentence: «The evidence of her depravity and darkness was only outshone by the light and love of the families that she victimized.»

Heather Pressdee apologized in court

Heather Pressdee apologized in court, acknowledging the impact of her actions on others and her own family.

Some family members challenged Pressdee to look them in the eyes as they spoke, but she looked straight ahead.

Defense attorney Phil DiLucente pointed out that she showed remorse, even tearing up.

Family members of the victims shared their experiences of nightmares, emotional distress and hardships caused by Pressdee’s crimes.

Some expressed anger towards her, while others urged her to repent.

All praised their late loved ones and talked about the deep loss they suffered.

Pressdee’s crimes occurred while she was working as a registered nurse at various health facilities in the region, according to WTAE.

These included Concordia at Rebecca Residence, Belair Healthcare and Rehabilitation (Guardian), Quality Life Services Chicora, Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
