Michael Jackson’s name is still in the news. More than 10 years after the unexpected death of the American singer, songwriter, producer and dancer, revealing details emerge. A new documentary says the King of Pop used 19 fake IDs to get drugs, according to the New York Post.
In the early hours of June 25, 2009 news took virtually the entire world by surprise: Michael Jackson had died of cardiorespiratory arrest at his rented residence in Holmby Hills, California. He was preparing for a 50 concert tour.
Michael Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide

It should be noted that the death of Michael Jackson, who was a few weeks shy of his 51st birthday, was ruled a homicide. The culprit? Dr. Conrad Murray, who took all the blame. He was charged with involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison, of which he served only two.
Few know that the artist abused drugs for much of his life in doses that would border on scandal. In addition to Murray, supposedly more doctors were responsible for helping the King of Pop, who would have turned 64 years old today, obtain drugs. “All of them are the reason why he is dead today”

Orlando Martínez, a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department who was assigned to Michael Jackson’s death said the following in statements shared by the New York Post: “Circumstances had been leading up to his death for years, and all of these different medical professionals had allowed Michael to dictate his own terms, get the medicines he wanted, when he wanted them, where he wanted them. All of them are the reason why he’s dead today.”
Los Angeles County Deputy Coroner Ed Winter said the singer had been taking propofol in Gatorade-sized bottles at the time of his death. This medication, according to Dr. Conrad Murray, «was the only way he could sleep, especially when he was preparing for a tour.»
Michael Jackson acknowledged that drugs took over his life

Few remember that, at the height of his career, Michael Jackson suffered second- and third-degree burns to his scalp during a pyrotechnic disaster while filming a Pepsi commercial. He was given pain killers during his recovery. No one imagined that this would be the beginning of an addiction to drugs. The singer himself acknowledged that drugs took over his life from that moment on.
«I became increasingly more dependent on the painkillers to get me through the days of my tour,» he once said, in addition to confessing that he was not comfortable and felt like hell when on tour. Everything got worse when The King of Pop met Dr. Arnold Klein, who admitted that he gave the opioid Demerol, as well as other substances, to the artist.
“The way you make me feel”

According to Ed Winter, deputy coroner for Los Angeles County, Michael Jackson used 19 fake IDs to obtain different medications, while Dr. Arnold Klein had carried a special book in which he wrote down which prescriptions went with each fake identity: “TThe way that Michael went about getting all these drugs was doctor shopping.»
“He had multiple, different doctors that he was involved with and he would go to ‘Doctor A’ and ask for a sedative, and then he would go to ‘Doctor B’ and may ask for the same one. Michael is responsible, to a great extent, for his own demise, but he certainly had a lot of help from the medical community,” said Dr. Harry Glassman, who was Jackson’s plastic surgeon.
