- Donald Trump faces widespread rejection in polls.
- Losing support on every issue.
- Immigration and the economy are cited most frequently.
A new poll from Quinnipiac University reveals that President Donald Trump has negative approval ratings on all the main issues of his agenda.
Despite some recent rebounds in specific polls, his public image continues to weaken, especially in areas like immigration, the economy, and foreign policy.
The survey, conducted between June 5 and 9 with 1,265 registered voters, shows that only 38% of Americans approve of his overall performance, while 54% disapprove.

Amid the deployment of the National Guard and 700 marines in Los Angeles in response to ICE raids, Trump’s approval on immigration dropped from 45% to 43%.
Meanwhile, disapproval rose from 50% to 54% compared to May.
Although some polls, like CNN’s, reflect a net improvement in his image compared to 2017 (+1 today versus -21 back then),
Data from Quinnipiac and other trackers like Nate Silver’s show a steady decline in recent days.
Economy and Trade

Trump also faces adverse numbers in what was once one of his strengths: the economy.
Only 40% approve of his economic management, while 56% disapprove.
In trade, his support dropped to 38%, and disapproval rose to 57%, reflecting the negative impact of the recent tariff announcement («Liberation Day») that shook markets.

Foreign Policy and Universities

Other issues with low approval include his handling of universities (37% approve, 54% disapprove), the Israel-Hamas conflict (35% approval), and the war in Ukraine (only 34% approve, versus 57% who disapprove).
Analysts warn that these figures could affect his ability to retain his electoral base heading into the elections.
Especially if mass protests against his immigration policy continue.
