When the police found the

body of a man inside his vehicle on the side of a Florida highway, they believed it was a crime related to the dispute over the highway, but how wrong they were.

And, after investigating the lifeless body of José Mesa, 45, the authorities discovered that his bleeding was not the result of a gunshot wound, but rather a stab wound.

The investigation led investigators to a small apartment in the city of Hialeah, near Miami, which was where the incident actually occurred.

In that home they found Yunet Enríquez, 39, and Jason González, mother and son respectively.

After being questioned, both confessed that they were the ones who attacked José, but said that their violent action was in self-defense.

The young man stated that he was asleep at that moment, but that he woke up when he heard the screams of his stepfather.

At first he thought it was a daily argument between couples, but then he realized that it was not, when he heard his mother scream due to the blows she was receiving.

Then he said that he got up, but that he was also attacked by the now deceased. After beating them as he wanted, they both tried to get him off the property, but that only angered José even more, as they initially exposed.

Both suspects said the fight continued outside the home and that José grabbed the woman by the hair and began dragging her toward his vehicle.

Without thinking twice, the son said he went back to the apartment, took a knife from the kitchen, and came back to free his mother. It was at that moment that he injured his stepfather, that he immediately got into the car and fled in a hurry.

It was a few minutes later that the man was found bloody next to a busy local street and was pronounced dead at the scene.

For hours mother and son kept the same story. Everything was going well, until detectives had access to images from surveillance cameras in the neighborhood where the violent altercation was recorded.

In the videos it was clearly seen that the couple was only arguing outside the apartment. Then they both enter and a moment later, José ran out and behind him were Enriquez and González.

The victim gets in the car and that’s when they open the door and González stabs him.

After being confronted, both mother and son had no choice but to accept that they made up part of the story.

They admitted that José never tried to kidnap her by pulling her hair, but they were adamant that they attacked him like this, because he attacked both of them inside the house.

The woman acknowledged that the fight started because José had made the decision to return with his ex-wife, whom he had left a few months ago to be with her.

Enriquez and González were charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault, among other serious charges.

It’s amazing how far someone blinded by jealousy goes. This mother and her son will surely have a long time in prison and poor José, because in the end he did not stay with one or the other.
