Erika Buenfil expresses concern about Hurricane Otis

Erika Buenfil was one of the first celebrities to express her concern about Hurricane Otis’ destruction in Acapulco.

In her characteristic kind manner, the actress and TikToker talked about a couple of upcoming projects.

However, not everything is joyful for her, as she revealed she has an apartment in Acapulco and doesn’t know if it was damaged.

She said, «Let’s hope everyone is safe. Material things can be replaced, and it’s fortunate that I’m not there because it would have been more challenging to communicate.»

Celebrities in Acapulco: Erika Zaba

On the other hand, Erika Zaba, a member of the musical group OV7, was personally affected when Hurricane Otis hit Acapulco.

Through her Instagram stories, she showcased the havoc at her apartment building.

In just a few seconds, the extent of the damage is evident and the images are staggering.

Minutes earlier, also in her stories, the singer expressed her hope that everyone was safe after the terrible storm.

Other stars affected by the hurricane

Another of the famous celebrities in Acapulco is Verónica Castro.

So far, the actress and TV presenter has not shared her current status on her social media accounts.

According to TVyNovelas, María Antonieta de las Nieves, better known as La Chilindrina, also owns a house in the city.

Additionally, actresses Sylvia Pasquel and Angélica María, singer Luis Miguel and actor-entrepreneur Roberto Palazuelos, have homes in the area.

Andrés García and his ‘paradise’ in Acapulco

Andrés García passed away on April 4th due to hypovolemic shock caused by cirrhosis.

The actor is remembered for living in Acapulco, which was recently devastated by Hurricane Otis.

His mansion, known as El Paraíso, boasts a private beach and numerous rooms. Presently, it is valued at more than $5 million.

So far, his widow Margarita Portillo has not disclosed whether this property suffered severe damage.
