The blasts, just minutes apart, took place near Soleimani’s tomb, located approximately 510 miles southeast of Tehran.

So far no entity has claimed responsibility for the attacks, according to The Associated Press.

The attack was ordered by the Trump administration in 2020.

This was especially true after the war in Syria and his support for President Bashar al-Assad, according to The Associated Press.
