Noelia Voigt is proud of her Venezuelan roots

Noelia Voigt, who was born on November 1, 1999, became the third woman from the state of Utah to win Miss USA in 63 years.

«I hope to become the first Venezuelan-American woman to hold the title,» she said.

She also said that representation, inclusion and diversity of all backgrounds and cultures are crucial both inside and outside the world of entertainment.

Daughter of Jacqueline Briceño and Jack Voigt, Noelia is the youngest of four siblings. Her father played baseball in Venezuela, where he also served as a manager.

Who is Noelia Voigt?

Few people know the family tragedy that marked Noelia Voigt’s life.

A few hours after her birth, her sister Neomy sadly passed away on September 2, 1998.

She talked about this on social media: «My family came back home without her, completely devastated.»

Noelia revealed that her mom had always wanted to have three children, and her sister would have been the third.

Noelia Voigt has ‘an angel’ in her family

Noelia Voigt said that even though she never met her sister Neomy, she still feels very close to her.

«She is an angel in our family and has protected us and filled us with blessings,» said the native of Sarasota, Florida.

Noelia added that she cannot help but feel sad when thinking about her sister.

«If that hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t exist today. That’s why I don’t take my purpose on this Earth lightly,» she affirmed.

Noelia is a winner through and through

Before winning the Miss USA crown, Noelia Voigt had successfully participated in various beauty pageants.

As a teenager, she first competed in Miss Teen Florida 2017, reaching the top five. A year later, she claimed victory.

In that same year (2018), she participated in Miss Teen USA, once again placing among the top five contestants.

Noelia took part in both Miss Alabama 2022 and 2023 before representing Utah in Miss USA 2023.

She is the author of the book Maddie the Brave

One little-known fact about Noelia Voigt is that, in addition to being Miss USA, she is the author of the book Maddie the Brave, which was released in 2021.

According to Depor, this book is inspired by the moving story of Madison Whittsett, a 9-year-old girl who took her own life after suffering from bullying.

Noelia studied interior design at the University of Alabama.
