The U.S. government rejects new controversy regarding Trump and Epstein.

The White House labeled as “fake news” recent reports claiming that President Donald Trump was informed in May that his name appears in multiple documents related to the judicial case against the late Jeffrey Epstein.

This was stated by the White House Communications Director.

Steven Cheung confirmed this to media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and The New York Times.

White House denies Trump’s ties to Epstein

The reports indicated that Trump had been alerted by Department of Justice officials.

This occurred during a routine meeting where the topic was not central.

This was reported by EFE.

According to these accounts, the president was notified by Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy Todd Blanche that his name appeared alongside other public figures in the judicial files related to the Epstein case.

Se le informó en mayo, según filtraciones

The information was initially disclosed by The Wall Street Journal, which cited senior officials from the current Republican administration.

According to the outlet, Trump was warned about the situation during a routine briefing, raising new concerns about his past ties to Epstein, who was convicted of sex trafficking and died in prison in 2019.

However, the White House strongly denies this version. “This is another false story, like the previous one from The Wall Street Journal,” Cheung told the same outlet, referring to an obscene letter that, according to the newspaper, Trump had allegedly sent to Epstein when they were friends.

The president denied the correspondence and sued the newspaper.

The White House accuses liberal media and Democrats

In statements to CNN, Cheung went further by linking these reports to an alleged disinformation campaign:

“This is nothing more than the continuation of false stories invented by the Democrats and the liberal media,” he said, also referring to the so-called “Obama Russiagate scandal,” which, according to Trump, proved to be a baseless conspiracy against him.

The presidential communications strategy aims to discredit any media attempts to revive past connections between Trump and Epstein.

Although they were friends in previous decades, the president has repeatedly denied any involvement in the criminal activities of the disgraced magnate.

Tense context for Trump

These revelations arise at a politically delicate moment for the president, who is seeking to maintain his credibility amid the implementation of his immigration and security agenda.

The White House insists that this is a strategy to divert attention

and to attack Trump’s image ahead of his second term.
