Other family members were also affected by the accident.
Their granddaughter, Jaella Guerrero, suffered injuries, while their daughters Prisma Hernández and Jessica Guerrero are in critical condition.
Both women required intensive medical care.
In light of this difficult situation, the family has launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to request support from the community.
The GoFundMe for Max and Sofía Hernández

Max and Sofía Hernández were devout Jehovah’s Witnesses who lived with the purpose of helping others.
They raised their daughters with love, care, and values grounded in spirituality. Their passing has left an indelible legacy but also an irreplaceable void.
The funds raised through this campaign will go toward covering funeral costs for Max and Sofía, as well as medical expenses for Prisma and Jessica.
Additionally, the funds will help address the daily needs of a family now facing an uncertain future.
A Call for Solidarity Through Their Campaign
Elizeth Willacker, one of Max and Sofía Hernández’s daughters, wrote on the GoFundMe page:
“On behalf of my family, I’m asking for your help. The donations will go directly to my sisters’ and niece’s medical expenses, funeral costs, and support for our family as we adjust to this new reality.»
“We deeply appreciate your generosity, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time.”
