At the most recent La Casa de los Famosos gala on April 28, Mexican singer Lupillo Rivera caused great controversy.

He hinted that he could sue the Puerto Rican model and businesswoman Maripily Rivera.

Rivera accused Maripily of verbally abusing him and other houseguests, in addition to suggesting that she had shown him her naughty bits.

Lupillo threatens to sue Maripily on LCDLF

After Lupillo’s accusations about Maripily, her lawyer released a statement on social media.

The La Casa de los Famosos star’s lawyer posted a brief statement.

The message from Mr. Ernie Cabán is clearly addressed to the performer of successful songs like ‘Despreciado’ and ‘No Arrive el Olvido’.

Immediately people responded to the post.

During the confrontation, Lupillo made the other houseguests raise their hands to confirm they had also been mistreated by Maripily.

«There are other things that have happened in the house that if a man had done them they would have already gotten him out. How many have you shown your private parts to?” asked Lupillo.

«She has shown them to me a few times. All this is 24/7,» declared the visibly upset singer, before a surprised Maripily.

Jenni’s brother also questioned the show’s production and the network.

Lupillo questions Telemundo’s actions

«Telemundo, NBC Universal, how long are you going to allow so much abuse by this woman to so many others on this show?» he asked.

«Because they have done absolutely nothing and you have the evidence in your hands,» Lupillo continued, suggesting that his daughters had recorded evidence.

Faced with these accusations, Maripily did not remain silent and responded firmly. «What are you talking about values? What are you talking about falsehood?»

«What are you talking about being real if you are the most traitorous, most slanderous, most abusive and above all traitorous man? I’m not afraid of you coming to sue me,» she said.

Lupillo threatens to sue Maripily

«I have my lawyers. I can send them to you so you don’t go to Miami, I’ll send them to Mexico. You don’t scare me,” said the Puerto Rican model.

The exchange continued with mutual accusations of defamation and mistreatment, generating an intense discussion on social media.

Maripily Rivera’s lawyer, Ernie Cabán, also weighed in on social media about Lupillo’s threatened lawsuit.

«My lawyer spoke,» Maripily said on social media, posting a brief statement from her lawyer.

«But if he sues, he will undoubtedly expose himself to a counter-suit and the shot will backfire,» he concludes.
