Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance stated that Donald Trump’s deportation plan will include immigrants with TPS and ‘parole.’

TPS, or Temporary Protected Status, offers protection from deportation and allows recipients to obtain a work permit.

Vance criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s use of these programs during a rally in Ohio.

He argued that immigrants with TPS and ‘parole’ are protected under what he called «illegal» Democratic programs.

The senator emphasized that Harris’s actions do not make these immigrants «legal» under U.S. law.

“Kamala Harris used two separate programs—mass parole and Temporary Protected Status.

She used two programs to wave a magic wand and say: we are not going to deport these people.

Well, if Kamala Harris illegally waves the magic wand and says, ‘These people are now legally here,’ I will still call them illegal aliens.

And Kamala Harris’s illegal action does not make an alien legal. That’s not how this works,” he stated.

The Vice President, meanwhile, warned about the impact of Donald Trump’s deportation plan during an event in Washington.

According to data from the American Immigration Council, over 860,000 people are protected under TPS, La Opinión reported.

TPS applies to 16 countries, including El Salvador, Venezuela, and Ukraine, with protections expiring in 2025.

The renewal of TPS does not extend the program to new beneficiaries, only those already registered.

‘Parole,’ limited to two years per person, allows immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the country with sponsorship.

Approximately 500,000 immigrants have benefited from the ‘parole’ program, managed through the CBP One app.

JD Vance made it clear that he opposes these immigration programs, aligning himself with Trump’s stance on mass deportations.
