Ivonne Montero confirms that her daughter underwent open heart surgery again

Ivonne Montero, the renowned actress and singer, has provided an update on the health of her daughter, Antonella, according to Agencia México.

The 11-year-old underwent open-heart surgery due to a congenital condition she has battled since birth.

In a recent interview with the program «Venga la Alegría,» Ivonne Montero shared that the surgery was a success.

“Everything went very well, all the adjustments they had to make to the artery and the heart, the valve, everything went super well,” the relieved actress stated.

Despite the optimism, the operation was not without risks. “There was a complication that could arise, and it was bleeding,” Ivonne Montero mentioned.

She referred to the significant risk due to the multiple surgeries Antonella has had in the same area.

Fortunately, the bleeding did occur but was successfully controlled.

“Thank God, she has been stable; right now, she is reported as delicate, but she is doing very well, glory to God, glory to God!” she expressed, visibly emotional.

The actress also revealed that this surgery could be the last for her daughter.

“If God permits, this would be the last time they would have to open her up,» Ivonne Montero shared.

However, she clarified that Antonella will still need some adjustments due to the use of prosthetics and valves in her heart, as detailed by Agencia México.

Ivonne Montero also spoke about the emotional moment when she reunited with Antonella after the surgery.

“I managed to communicate with her, through signs, and I saw her doing very well, I really saw her doing quite well,» Ivonne Montero recalled.

She hopes to soon share the good news that Antonella is out of danger and back home.

This surgery marks the fourth open-heart procedure Antonella has faced since birth.

She was first operated on just days after being born, then again at nine months old, and once more at two years old.
