At least one farmworker died after being injured during an immigration raid by federal agents at a farm near Camarillo, California, on Thursday, July 10, according to the United Farm Workers (UFW) organization.
Dozens of workers were detained, and tear gas was used on protesters, KTLA 5 reported. A video shared by Rossellini Harris shows a young man crying as he walks away from the scene.
“Did they take your mom?” someone asks. The young man nods tearfully.
What did the company say about the ICE raid?
Glass House Farms, the company where the incident occurred, confirmed in a statement that ICE agents entered the property with search warrants.
“The company fully cooperated and will provide further updates if necessary,” they stated on X.
UFW: More workers are missing
The labor organization added that other employees, including U.S. citizens, are still missing.

ICE has not officially responded after the raid
The federal agency has not released a statement on the incident or confirmed the number of detainees or the use of force.
