The plan includes a reduction of 4.5 billion dollars in taxes and 2 billion in budgetary expenses.
The resolution was approved with 217 Republican votes in favor and 215 against, including a Republican.
Some Republicans expressed concern that the cuts do not cover tax benefits and increase public debt.

The resolution has no law, but serves as a basis for negotiating the final budget.
Donald Trump seeks to extend the tax benefits approved in his first mandate, which expire in 2025.
The Plan also intends to reduce public administration as part of the former president’s agenda.
However, some Republican congressmen fear that cuts affect key social programs.
