Mexican singer Christian Nodal is once again entangled in a major scandal in his professional career due to his failure to show up at one of his scheduled concerts.

A Colombian agency is reportedly suing Ángela Aguilar’s husband for breach of contract for failing to perform a concert.

According to ‘Infobae,’ the Instagram profile of ‘Reina Venenosa’ shared the statement from the law firm representing Alive Productions.

Christian Nodal is now being sued for $2.5 million.

Christian Nodal in Legal Trouble

Reports state that Christian Nodal was scheduled to perform at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín, Colombia, on March 26, 2022, but canceled the show.

Allegedly, the Mexican singer’s manager reported the cancellation via phone, citing mechanical issues with the plane.

However, the company investigated and concluded that Nodal never had a flight planned to Colombia.

“This evidence shows that Nodal was untruthful about not attending the concert, causing a massive discontent among over 32,000 attendees,” the statement reads.

The Company Outlines Nodal’s Actions

Due to the public outrage over the cancellation, the company was forced to handle ticket refunds and damages at the stadium.

Following the cancellation, ‘Alive Productions’ specified that a meeting was held with Christian Nodal and his team on March 27, 2022, where the artist committed to refunding the fans’ tickets.

“This commitment was not honored by the artist or his representatives, leaving Alive with substantial financial and reputational losses,” the company clarified.

So far, Nodal has not responded to the lawsuit, which adds to an ongoing legal battle with his former record label.
