The route through which Bijan Arceo gained access, South Ocean Boulevard, had been closed since November 4 when Trump returned to Palm Beach before the general elections on November 5.
Authorities reopened the route last Saturday, coinciding with the former president’s return to Washington for his second inauguration.
Security at Mar-a-Lago, known as the «Winter White House,» has been a recurring issue since Trump took office in 2017.
The club has been at the center of controversy due to similar incidents in the past.
