BABY FROM PARAGUAY RESURRECTED IN FUNERAL

In a shocking turn of events, a baby who had been declared dead shortly after birth defied all odds and regained her vital signs.

The incident occurred while she was being mourned during her own funeral in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, according to the EFE news agency.

This incredible occurrence has left relatives, doctors, and the community at large stunned, with many still questioning how it happened.

Local media outlets reported on the strange event and provided details about what happened to the newborn.

What happened to the baby?

The events date back to Friday, April 12th, when the baby arrived in the world via cesarean section.

This occurred after her mother, a 21-year-old woman, experienced complications during her seventh month of pregnancy.

However, the girl was declared deceased and handed over to her family, along with the death certificate, around 1:40 p.m. local time on Friday.

The baby’s father, Ignacio Medina, told the Telefuturo channel that he received the small body «completely purple,» according to EFE.

A miracle happened in the middle of the wake!

With hearts shattered but compelled by the need to bid farewell, the family transported the body to Minga Guazú, a nearby town, where the wake would take place.

«We took her to my mother’s house and were holding the wake,» commented Medina, as reported by Milenio Noticias. Suddenly, everything changed.

According to accounts from those present, one of the baby’s uncles noticed an unusual movement in her head, which alerted everyone.

In an act of astonishment and hope, they discovered an inexplicable detail, defying all expectations and breaking the somber silence of the wake.

What did the family discover?

The father, Ignacio Medina, shared his emotions regarding the matter, stating that they immediately returned to the hospital with the baby, whose identity had already been sealed in the death certificate.

«We went to see her, and her little heart was beating,» recounted the young man, noting that shortly afterward, they returned to the hospital.

At this point, there arises the question of what really happened with the baby and why the doctors declared the newborn dead.

Given the circumstances, information was requested from the hospital where the baby was born to understand why they declared her dead upon birth.

What did the doctors say?

The director of the Regional Hospital of Ciudad del Este, Federico Schrodel, suggested the possibility that the case could be attributed to a form of catalepsy.

«Due to the prematurity, this can happen, the patient practically loses vital signs,» stated the doctor, as reported by Milenio.
