Alexander Esquivel used his social media to post child pornography

Alexander Esquivel, 62, was jailed for disseminating four files of alleged child pornography through his social media accounts, according to a statement from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

In February, authorities received a tip about the supposed dissemination of inappropriate images exposing minors on social media.

The investigation led detectives to the virtual accounts used by Esquivel to browse and share content online, the law enforcement agency explained in their report.

The first step, according to the sheriff’s office, was to request access to the suspect’s digital platforms. There, agents reportedly found four files containing child pornography.

Subsequently, with some evidence requested, investigators obtained a search warrant against Esquivel from a judge.

On June 7, 2024, technology experts arrived at a house located at 4112 Ramona Dr. in Spring Hill.

The house visit began with a personal interview, during which Esquivel allegedly admitted to being the creator of the suspicious social media accounts, the officers detailed in their official report.

From that day, Esquivel was taken into police custody.
